JESSICA ABO 

Jessica Abo is an award-winning television journalist, social activist, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. She recently launched her own YouTube channel to help millennials discover, and celebrate, why they are extraordinary.  Every Monday, "Jabo" as she is known, answers questions from her fans.  In her "Open Up Wednesday" segment, she asks every guest how he or she turned an OUW moment (pronounced: oww!) into a POUWER story.  Jessica hopes these stories help her followers embrace, and triumph, through life's challenges.  (To subscribe, click here)

 

When she's not running her digital network, Jessica works as a freelance anchor at NY1 News, covering everything from breaking news to Fashion Week.  She spent 2014 traveling around the country on a speaking tour for teens and will kick off her 2015 tour in March. Jessica also hosts job-related events for the tech start-up, Apploi, where she is the Chief Inspiration Officer.  

 

Jessica has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for non-profits around the world by running marathons and organizing her own charity events. Her last gala helped people in need of a bone marrow transplant find a perfect match.  

 

She is the founder and President of Match 4 Good, Inc. Her boutique consulting firm coordinates networking events for singles with a philanthropic twist.

 

Jessica has been cast as herself in The Amazing Spider-Man 2Delivery Man, Girl Most LikelyGossip Girl and Nurse Jackie.

She recently sat down to discuss gender in the workplace for Fusion Network.

 

She received her bachelor and master degrees from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journal. 

 

She lives in New York City and is working on her first book.
